Egg Flip

What’s Easter without eggs? This Classic Egg Flip is a good one to start with!
Chocolate Negroni

Chocolate Negroni
My obsession with Negroni continues and this Chocolate version is particularly good – rich without being overly sweet.
Ingredients for the Chocolate Negroni
30ml gin (I used Beefeater)
¾ oz Campari
¾ oz sweet vermouth (I used Antica Formula)
2 dashes chocolate bitters (optional – I used orange bitters)
¼ oz white crème de cacao
Orange twist and/or a wedge of chocolate orange (for garnish)
Method
Stir down the ingredients over ice. Strain into a rocks glass and garnish as preferred.
Alexander Cocktail
The most famous version of this cocktail is made with brandy, but the Alexander cocktail first featured in Hugo R. Ensslin’s ‘Recipes for Mixed Drinks in 1917 and was originally made with gin. It’s a delicious, if heavy, combination of gin, crème de cacao and cream. Perfect as an after dinner cocktail!

Ingredients for the Alexander Cocktail
30ml Gin (I used Jensen’s Old Tom gin)
30ml crème de cacao
30ml cream
chocolate shavings for garnish (optional)
Method
Add all of the ingredients to an ice filled cocktail shaker and shaker hard until very cold. Strain into a chilled glass and add chocolate shavings if desired.
