I’m calling it. This is my drink for the summer!
The Shaky Pete cocktail was invented in 2012 by Pete Jeary of Hawksmoor in London and it features in Four Pillars Cocktail book No. 4. It’s a mind-blowingly delicious combination of gin, ginger and pale ale that packs a punch while being the perfect thirst-quencher!

To make it even more perfect, it’s quick and easy to make. Just get your blender ready!
Ingredients for the Shaky Pete cocktail
30ml Sticky Carpet Gin
50ml fresh lemon juice
50ml ginger syrup
Pale Ale
This recipe for ginger syrup from Four Pillars is super easy to make, alternatively there are some really good ready-made syrups available.
How to make a Shaky Pete
Place all the ingredients in a blender with ice until frozen. Pour into a frozen beer mug and top up with a Pale Ale of your choice.
