I’m constantly looking for different cocktails that use sloe or fruit gin. The one that is mentioned often to me by bartenders is the bittersweet Charlie Chaplin cocktail.
This is a classic cocktail, created and served at New York’s Wardorf-Astoria around 1920.
Although this is made with Sloe gin, I think there are lots of the stone fruit/grape gins that would work really well.
Ingredients for a Charlie Chaplin cocktail
20ml Sloe or fruit Gin
20ml Apricot Brandy
20ml freshly squeezed lime juice
Method
Shake all ingredients together with ice. Fine strain into a glass. Garnish with a twist of lime.
Enjoy!
