Mother's Day Gifts for Gin Lovers

My Christmas Gifts for Gin lovers proved a big hit, so I thought I’d put together another list of gifts for Mother’s Day. Essentially it’s a shopping list for anyone, but I think mums everywhere would appreciate something better than slippers, especially if they love gin or cocktails.

Barware

Practical and always appreciated, even the simplest barware can make a difference to the quality of your drinks.

sphere-ice-tray

This ice-cube tray makes 4 spheres. Perfect in a G&T!

beehive-jigger

I have one of these Beehive Jiggers and it’s perfect for a novice like me as it has so many different levels for extra accuracy.

Beautiful glassware

Vera-wang-tumblers

These stunning Vera Wang glasses are on my lust list, but if these are out of you budget, fear not. A scout round your local op-shop or vintage store can yield excellent results. I picked up this little lot for $25AUD.

Cocktail Sticks/Stirrers

drink-sticks

If you follow me on Instagram you’ll have seen the picture of some divine Ralph Lauren cocktail picks. At $200AUD they are well out of my price range, but I do love the branch design on these stirrers. Have a look on eBay or Etsy if you want something vintage, but be warned the cocktail revival means these are now at premium prices!

Cocktail Books

Death-and-Company-Cocktail-book

I love poring over cocktail books and have amassed quite a collection. Most of the hippest, award-winning bars now produce their own cocktail books and as Death & Co is in NYC, their book is the next best thing.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers for cocktail degustations, experiences and masterclasses are a unique gift.

Ginny, Gin, Gin

Well, it’s an obvious gift for someone who loves gin! With so many to choose from, it can be a difficult decision. I like to give a bottle of something a little different, that perhaps the person hasn’t tried before. Here are three suggestions:

burroughs-reserve-barrel-aged-gin

Burrough’s Reserve Barrel-Aged Gin is distilled Beefeater gin that is then aged in Lillet barrels. It’s absolutely delicious but at $150 per bottle it might stretch your budget a little!

four-pillars-gunpowder-strength-dirty-martini

Four Pillar’s Gunpowder proof is a hefty 58.8% ABV and packs a delicious punch in a G&T.

sipsmith-sloe-gin

Sipsmith Sloe Gin is one of my favourite sloe gins as I find it less sweet than other brands. it makes a fantastic addition to a Negroni.

Note: This is my little list of suggestions for gifts. These are just things I like and I have not been paid to include any particular products.
