On the Fifth Day of Gin-Mas my Gin Queen gave to me…a bottle of Seppeltsfield Road Distillers gin.
I first met Jon and Nicole from Seppeltsfield Road Distillers when their distillery was still a building site.
They dug out the site out of the side of a hill, and made the building from shipping containers. They had a vision for their distillery and put in a tremendous amount of hard work to make it happen. It was clearly worth it. Take look at the results!
Distiller Nicole, has created three different styles of gin, plus her take on a Shiraz gin.
Seppeltsfield Road Distillers Barossa Dry gin is a classic dry-style gin with juniper and coriander notes at the fore and has hints of pink peppercorns harvested from the Western Ridge of the Barossa Valley.
Seppeltsfield Road Distillers House gin is made in the contemporary style with layers of fresh citrus on subtle juniper notes. Chamomile and locally grown lavender add delicate depth, and cornflower gives beautiful, bright sweetness.
Seppeltsfield Road Distillers Savoury Allsorts gin is a herbaceous gin made with star anise thyme, marjoram, borage, and gentian. One for the martini lovers.
Seppeltsfield Road Distillers Shiraz gin is made with Western Barossa Shiraz grapes that are macerated in House Gin. It has soft tannins and rich Shiraz fruit flavours, and subtle juniper, orange, and cinnamon notes.
For the Fifth Day of Gin-Mas, you have a chance of winning a bottle of Barossa Dry, House gin, Allsorts gin OR* Shiraz gin.
