When Four Pillars began making marmalade from the spent oranges used in distillation, I knew exactly how I was going to use it (aside from spreading it on toast!). The Breakfast Martini is the delicious creation of cocktail master Salvatore Calbrese “The Maestro”.
A shaken cocktail, combining gin, cointreau (you could use Triple Sec or Solerno for an extra kick), lemon juice and marmalade.
Ingredients
50ml Four Pillars Gin
15 ml Cointreau
15ml Lemon juice
1 teaspoon of marmalade
(optional orange rind to garnish)
Firstly either pop your glass into the freezer for a quick chill, or if you don’t have room, fill a glass with ice.
Then add all of the ingredients to an ice-filled shaker and rattle away vigorously until the shaker is very cold.
Empty the ice out of the glass and strain the Breakfast Martini into it. Add garnish if you choose.
Enjoy!
